Job Purpose:The incumbent will be responsible for generating revenue by closing sales. He or she will sell products and services directly to customers primarily via face-to-face contact and develops strong relationships with these customers to ensure sensitivity to the customer's needs, concerns, and emerging requirements
Main Duties & responsibilities:
- Performs sales activities to new and/or existing customers to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives;
- Contacts and visits prospective customers to determine needs;
- Creates and deliver presentations to match company's products/services with identified needs;
- Sells products/services through face-to-face contact;
- Maintains records and prepares reports as required;
Required Skills or Experience
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- A university degree or equivalents with a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in telecoms or FMCG;
- Be able to work under pressure with short-term targets;
- Have good knowledge of Airtel's products/services and pricing practices;
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, both orally and writing;
- Be computer literate
- Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiating skills;
- High personal standards and goal oriented;
- Able to operate in a performance driven organization
