Our Clients, a major player in the Shipping industry seeks to hire the service of a SHIPPING MANAGER. SHIPPING MANAGER (REF: G/12/001)- Responsible towards berthing and sailing of ocean going vessels
- Effectively liaise and coordinate to secure all necessary approvals in order to meet the organizational performance standards
- Leads a team of 8 staff besides communicating with other departments.
- Coordinate, supervise and control the general tasks related to vessel berthing and sailing
- Liaise with all governmental agencies to ensure hitch free vessel operations
- Develop effective and efficient procedures within the department to meet set performance target
- Champion the implementation of strategies, plans and programs towards the effective support of the organization goals and objectives
Required Skills or Experience
- A good first degree from a reputable institution, MBA or relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage
- At least 3 years cognate experience in maritime industry of which 2 years in similar role
- Diploma in Shipping Management or equivalents,
