Golden Star Resources (GSR) is a growing mining Company with two operating mines in Ghana, Golden Star (Bogoso/Prestea) Limited and Golden Star (Wassa) Limited and other projects at various stage of development.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee test programmes and assist in implementing results to enhance plant performance;
- Assist operation staff in optimizing plant performance as necessary;
- Monitor and optimize process plant reagents and consumables;
- Compile and interpret statistical data for reporting;
- Supervise and coordinate activities at the metallurgical laboratory;
- Supervise metallurgical inventory;
- Promote safety and safe work practices; and
- Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time by supervisor
Required Skills or Experience
- Degree in BSc Metallurgical/Mineral/Chemical Engineering or Diploma in Mineral Engineering with at least six (6) years hands-on experience;
- In-depth understanding of all basic unit operations;
- Knowledge of Biox operations;
- Proficient in technical report writing;
- Must be computer literate;
- Excellent communication and analytical skills;
- Good team player;
- Work with minimum supervision;
- Must possess a valid Ghanaian drivers' license
