The Finance Manager will be responsible for accounting for and documenting all financial transactions across multiple business ventures for the program and adhered to RI accounting procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Setup, establish and monitor internal controls for the Social Enterprise Program in accordance with RI Ghana established regulations and procedures:
- Prepare and send out receipts, bills, invoices, and statements as required, and any other financial documentation for supporting grant or other income
- Prepares purchase order, payment vouchers and co-ordinate bidding selection process and issuing certificates, as required by RI accounting procedures in dealing with program expenditure
- Prepare Requests for Funds each month through close coordination with program and HQ staff
- Prepare monthly payroll and ensure that all PAYE deductions are paid to the respective organizations and that staff pay slips are distributed to all national staff on a monthly basis
- Coordinate and maintain cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements of the programs
- Monitor ongoing levels of expenditure on individual programs as against budget, and provide timely advice of likely over or under-spends
- Reconcile field cash and project expenditure balances in coordination with the program officer
- Enter financial data into QuickBooks and send monthly accounts and financial reports to Ghana Sr. Finance Manager, HQ and to the International Comptroller
- Prepare financial statements and records for audit by Donor or external audit
Required Skills or Experience
- Accounting or finance-related degree and or fully qualified member of a recognized Accounting Professional Association. (Relevant experience may be considered)
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training; Expertise in using QuickBooks Accounting Softwares
- Substantial demonstrable understanding and experience of finance management within an Interl NGO
- Substantial demonstrable understanding and experience of finance management with a business
- Understanding and experience with carbon finance projects and micro-finance will be an
- Capable of multitasking across several different initiatives
