Job Description

The Role:
The RD & C Manager, reporting to the National Director is responsible for raising funds locally and internationally for the Organization's programs. He/she would be required to keep the key public of the Organization through constant communication, letters, newsletters and one on one communications.

Summary of specific responsibilities of the RD&C manager:
1 Resource Development:

• Key responsibilities will include: mobilizing resources from bilateral and multilateral donors, philanthropic, foundations, and other sources. Grant proposal writing

• Developing relations with media and serve as organization's media contact. Writing, preparing and placing organization's press releases etc

3 Marketing:

• To develop comprehensive communications/marketing plan for the organization

Required Skills or Experience www.ghanainjobsmix.blogspot.com

• A Masters Degree in International Development, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Resource Mobilization
• 5 - 10 years of proven experience in fundraising, public relations and communication at a managerial level

Relevant skills required:

• Excellent proposal writing skills
• Ability to engage and interest a wide variety of donors in the work of the organisation
• Able to build and maintain key networks that could help in the organisations fundraising efforts
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Resourceful in solving problems and ability to work across cultures
• Computer literate
