Job Description

The Head of Programs shall be a team leader of all the program coordinators with supervisory responsibilities over them. He /She shall be reporting to the executive Director. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Head of programs acts in his stead. He or she will be directly responsible for the following.

• Prepare and present reports, work plans and implementation strategies on programs
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports on programs to the executive Director and partners
• Initiates plans, coordinate and monitor programs implementation
• Liaise and build partnership with governmental and non-governmental organizations
• Do other jobs as and when the Board or the executive Director deems fit in the interest of the organization.
   

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum qualifications and experience:

• A master's degree in any of the social sciences with five (5) years working experience and knowledge in community development work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good leadership and strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Proven ability to be good team player and willingness to take on additional responsibility required.
• Demonstrate ability to organize, plan, and carry out activities independently to meet deadlines.
• Should possess excellent analytical, evaluation, monitoring, project proposal and report writing skills
• Must have proactive attitude: willingness and ability to take initiative
• Ability to recognize and analyze problems, and develop solution to them.
