Job Position Description:
Our Client is a conglomerate that specialises in delivering world-class initiatives across its various business lines in waste management, printing services, quarry operations and support services for the Oil & Gas industry among others. It now seeks to recruit highly motivated, experienced and passionate professional to be part of its teams.
Reporting to the CEO and will be in charge of:
- Designing, installation, commissioning and operation of advanced traffic management systems including such systems as CCTV and incident detection cameras;
- Analysis and monitoring of current road systems;
- Liaising with local authorities and police (MTTU) on accidents, traffic flow, noise, demand/use of roads in local areas and strategies ways in which road systems can be improved
- Liaising with relevant disaster management units for accident recovery, medical assistance and evacuation
Required Skills or Experience
To be considered, the person must have:
- Have a BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years relevant experience with traffic and transportation projects relating to highways, rural and networks and urban networks;
- Have the ability to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders using high quality advocacy to develop and maintain these relationships
- Experience in contract negotiation with asset and non-asset base transportation suppliers
