Job Description
Habitat for Humanity Ghana seeks experienced candidates to fill the position of Construction Specialists in its Kumasi and Sunyani branches.
The Construction Specialist will ensure that all Construction Technical Assistance (CTA) given as part of Housing Support Services (HSS) to clients either for an incremental housing solution or home improvement such as water and sanitation solutions are done in accordance with Habitat for Humanity Ghana standards. The CS is also expected to deliver services to clients of Microfinance partners in the form of Construction Technical Assistance (CTA)
Working Conditions:

Working Conditions:
- Working at project level
- Enjoys working with low-income people
- High level of integrity combined with ability to make timely decisions
- Limited office hours with constant travel to the field for delivering construction technical assistance services to clients of partner MFIs
- Must be willing to travel regularly within the Ashanti and Brong Ahafo regions of Ghana
- Must be residing in Kumasi or Sunyani
- Must be able to ride a motorbike
Required Skills or Experience
Suitable candidates will need to satisfy the following requirements:
- Minimum Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering or Building Technology with at least five years' experience in construction supervision
- Or a Construction foreman with Construction Trades Certificates (CTC III) and 10 years' experience in construction supervision
- Excellent with use of figures and ability to estimate the cost of building projects
