The Role:
The Internal Auditor must identify, evaluate, and report on complex operational and business risks and controls in accordance with established auditing standards and methodologies. He/she shall be responsible and fully proficient in working to develop and improve operational, financial, and system-related controls
- Performing financial and system Audits
- Reviewing technical or complex financial and system controls for risks, products, systems, and business functions
- Preparing Audit reports and seeing that they are properly responded to; following-up on the implementation of controls; and assisting in the design of recommended controls when necessary
- Competent knowledge of insurance and computer functions employed with occasional supervision of lower-level Auditors
Required Skills or Experience
- Degree in Accounting or Business with at least 6 years of broad-based audit experience in the service and manufacturing industries
- Certified Internal Auditor qualification or in progress
- Risk-based auditing with statistics and quantitative analysis
- Computer literate and familiar with audit software
- Capability to conduct complex studies and surveys
- Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- An MBA would be an advantage
